We understand that moving between hosting providers can
be difficult and frustrating. If your old host
also uses cPanel, we offer a FREE site transfer service
on Special Plans 4 and above.
Just file a sales
support ticket along with the cPanel username and
password of your old host. We will transfer your
sites to our servers -
no charges whatsoever. All databases, files and emails
are preserved.
If you prefer to move the site over yourself, please
follow these steps - you really can ensure ZERO downtime.
SECTION A – I already have a domain and just want to
host with you.
(Your domain will stay physically located on your
previous domain registrar but will be hosted with us.)
- Backup your files and databases (if you have any) from your
previous host. Its always a good idea to maintain a
current backup of your website, offline.
- Signup for a hosting account with us.
- Once your order is cleared, you will be sent a
welcome email. This will contain the username and
password for your new hosting account with us. You will
also receive an email giving instructions on uploading
your website to our servers. If you need further help,
you can check out our articles on uploading (available on our
HelpDesk).
- Upload all files, then restore the databases
using the cPanel database restore option on your new
hosting account with us.
- Once you are sure that everything has been setup
correctly, login to your domain registrar and change the name
servers for your domain to the ones we have given you.
Domains can take up to 72 hours to resolve to the new
servers.
- Once your domain is pointed to our servers, cancel
your hosting account with your previous provider.
SECTION B – I want to transfer the domain to you.
(This will also physically move the domain to our
servers and you will have everything in one place.)
- Backup your files and databases (if you have any) from your
previous host. Its always a good idea to maintain a
current backup of your website, offline.
- Signup for a hosting account with us.
- Once your order is cleared, you will be sent a
welcome email. This will contain the username and
password for your new hosting account with us. You will
also receive an email giving instructions on uploading
your website to our servers. If you need further help,

HelpDesk).
- Upload all files, then restore the databases
using the cPanel database restore option on your new
hosting account with us.
- File a domain transfer request by contacting sales
support. As soon as the request is received, we
will transfer your domain to our registration services.
This can take up to 72 hours to process.
- Once your domain has been transferred to our servers, cancel
your hosting account with your previous provider.
