How to manage your privacy settings in Facebook

This tutorial assumes you've already created a Facebook account, and are logged in.

Now let's learn how to manage your privacy settings.

Click this down arrow in the top right corner.

Then click Settings.

Click the Privacy link.

The privacy settings on Facebook let you limit the access to your content, such as photos and posts.

For example, if you didn't wanteveryone to be able to view your photos, you could limit access to your friends only.

This is where you can define who can see your future posts.

This is where you can limit who sees your older posts.

You can limit who can send you friend requests.

And you can filter messages that are sent to you.

There are also privacy settings concerning how you want people to be able to look you up.

If you want search engines to be able to easily link to your timeline, you would set that here.
